Glitter glue = my new crack

Missy and I love halloween. Missy woke up this morning feeling a little blue. So we pulled out the artificial 3.5ft tree from storage. Hit the dollar store and loaded up on halloween stuff. A ghost garland, plastic rings, pumpkins, beads and wooden bats. The wooden bats were blank, so we loaded up on glitter glue, colored the bats and decorated the tree.

Okay, that's a really cute idea! I like the job you did on those bats. :D

Missy did the one in the close up. The ones swimming in glitter, are mine.

I figured, what with the crack comment. I especially like the blue and yellow guy with the swirl on his tummy, I think.

I dreamt about this tree, actually, except it grew to 8 feet tall and then I couldn't help decorate because I had to buy some bread but they only had the mint kind.

...I was very tired.

Unrelated news: Thanksgiving has snuck up on me so I don't have it off! :(

We named the blue one, Poliwhirl, from pokemon.

Is it wrong that I'm so happy about remembering Poliwhirl?

Thanks! It was fun. Glad to see you back from hiatus. Seems like you and I have been doing that a lot this summer. I hope Leafyguy recovers from his surgery quickly.

?!... A Halloween Tree.. THAT'S FRIGGIN BRILLIANT! Spectacular bats if I do say so myself, by the way ;) I'm glad I'm not the only one whose already full tilt into Halloween. I've already finished my costume, got Jack-o-Lantern lights strung all in my room, and a gigantic rubber bat hanging in the corner ;). But wow. This is genius. Plain and simple. My hat goes off to both of you!

Well it seems silly to have an artificial tree and only use it once a year. Since this turned out to be such a hit, I think I'll be decorating it for every holiday I can.

I could give you a copy of my instructions for making origami hearts sometime before February, if you like.
